The dulling bay's eyes flash with a truly wicked grin. "So you haven't heard the wonderful new, Malussinn?" he says, nudging his amusingly-colored friend right back. "You're a great-grandpa! Who's aging now?" Of course he neglects to mention that by the same turn, he too has become an ancestor, for their collective pride and joy is related to both geezers.

He turned accusingly upon his daughter who had, at the time of his first grandchild's birth, forgotten to tell him. "Why didn't you... you!" He sputtered angrily, his eyes flashing as he stamped a foot as only a stung great-grandfather, grandfather, and father can do.
