Subject: Just Curious

Have you ever met someone that you had an immediate connection with that you cannot explain? I've recently met a friend, that I instantly had an emotional connection with. I felt that I not only knew her somehow but that I could tell her anything, totally open myself up to her.
I have never had this happen, this deep, emotional connection - and it's a little unnerving for both of us. Since we are both happily married, our husbands are even looking at us strangely!
So have any of you ever had this happen? Thanks for the input!

[> Not a deep emotional connection, maybe, but definitely a very accepting, friendly one, with all the Hosers I've met over the past four years. The fact that we have all read the same books and enjoyed them shows that we share many characteristics. It happened again on January 31, as it did last fall in Inverness, and New Hampshire. But, I wish I had experienced the deeper connection, which you describe. -- Ron, 08:53:07 02/13/04 Fri

[> [> Thanks for replying Ron! I lurk over at the 'Broch, and I can see that there have been many "hosed" connections made! What I am referring to is on a deeper level, just wish I had words to describe it. But it is a gift, and I am very grateful for it! Wish all of you could have the same experience. -- Veronica, 18:36:58 02/13/04 Fri

[> Hi Veronica. I think I know what you are talking about, and yes, it has happened to me. A few times, in fact. Personally, I don't believe in coincidences. One of the strongest times it happened to me was several years ago. We eventually had a remarkable experience together and both of us became aware that we had been related (usually mother-daughter, but also sister-sister) many times in our past. Hope this doesn't sound too "out-there" to you, but that was our experience. -- Betsy, 17:57:18 02/14/04 Sat

[> Hi Veronica - yes, I know exactly what you are saying. I have known my best friend for 20 years and we have shared one heart all that time. We have have many wonderful times together from traveling to playing in mountain streams to pouring our hearts out. All while our DH's look at us in wonder. We have also shared tragic times, family deaths, wayward children, etc. And yet we are so different in our temperment. I am more outgoing and amazed at small wonderments, while she is more quiet and reserved, but always willing to step into adventure. If anyone is lucky enough to find a "soulmate" other than their lover/spouse, they are truly double blessed. Debbie has enriched my life, because no matter what is going on I can always talk to her and she will always listen. And I return the favor. Unconditional love and respect for each other. I agree with Betsy in that this person you have found could have been with you in past lives. I am so happy you have found her again. -- Bandruidh, 12:53:20 02/15/04 Sun

[> [> Yes Betsy and Bandruidh! All of what you said made so much sense to me...you are not way out there, as I have had instances where I have felt that I have known someone before. Although this experience is so much more, it is the same thing....and Bandruidh, you said it nicely with your last statement. I am very happy that I have found her again! Thank you all, it helps to know there are others who think the same. -- Veronica, 22:20:25 02/16/04 Mon
