Subject: Just for a bit...

The background seemed to be bothering a few people (me and my 'i need new glasses' glasses included) so I switched it to a plain backround for the time being.

Ideas on what to do with the background? I could try to lighten it...just won't get to that for a bit. Opinions??

I put the background up top as a picture though :)

Hope I'm not stepping on toes Jeannine. :) Love ya!

[> Am I safe in saying this here? I had trouble with it, but I COULD read the words. The French Board, however, gets carried away at times and I can only read the words by highlighting them. Often I don't bother. (Right now, it's fine.) Sometimes this happens to other Boards too. As a man, I am one of those who have trouble with colors, and sometimes one will blend into others so that I just can't distinguish one from the other. About 5 to 10 % of men have some degree of color blindness, but very few women. I think lighter shades would make the wallpaper more agreeable. Pastels? Check what Rita has done at LOL Social Board - I can't remember having trouble seeing there. -- Ron, 16:14:31 09/17/03 Wed

[> [> Is this purple okay for you Ron?? I know my DHs aunt and (mostly) uncle had trouble with certain colours on our family board...they were 'retired age' too! *G* There isn't much contrast with the colours used right now...just holler if it needs 'tweaking'! -- Christine, 19:01:47 09/17/03 Wed

[> Is this purple? (VBG!) Yes, it works fine for me. Basically, something which contrasts in intensity works for me (and other colorblind folks). The wallpaper can be light and the script dark. Maybe vice-versa too. For instance, dark purple script on light purple wallpaper works, or any color dark for the script and any color light for the wallpaper. Now, to be honest, I did NOT know the background was purple. I thought it was blue!!! That's how bad it gets! (Purple, however, is a mixture of blue and red.) -- Ron, 06:24:29 09/18/03 Thu

[> [> Well I faded the wallpaper...just not sure how well it shows the actual picture. It is a hard picture to lighten without losing the whole picture and/or all the colour in it. Still playing :) -- Christine, 08:01:07 09/18/03 Thu

[> [> [> Christine!!!! This is PERRRFECT!!! Don't worry about fading too light! M&M who does the wp's on the TBH and the FFF boards always fades them very light and it's really good on the eyes IMHO! And having the original above to look at is a great thing!!!! I love it the way it is just now, great job !!! -- Antje, 10:05:33 09/18/03 Thu

[> [> [> [> Hello Antje!! I was just about to email M&M as I was having a bit of trouble with our wee angel! :) I couldn't get rid of him/her entirely...so scroll WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY down to the bottom of the page once it totally loads! :) -- Christine--supposed to be playing with the kids and doing laundry! :), 11:31:16 09/18/03 Thu

It's like life is breathing through the board again! :-) -- Antje - who just watched the news!!! STAY DRY everyone on the East Coast!!, 11:41:24 09/18/03 Thu

[> [> [> OH...I COULD take it off...but as so many people seemed to want to keep it I was trying to figure out how to put it at the bottom! :) I knew it COULD be done...just took me a while to do it...and then another while to centre it! :) -- Christine, 09:04:07 09/19/03 Fri

[> Very interesting Jeannine! I find it a bit unsettling to be honest but fascinating to read about all the same. -- Linda, 08:24:35 09/21/03 Sun
