Subject: A Dragonfly Story about Amanda...

Remember Amanda who died in August of cancer. My Brownie co-leader Jen is very good friends with her family, let's me know how her mother is doing and told me this story.

One day last week mom Carla was at the cemetary visiting. She goes every day I think. This one day while she was there thinking about Amanda all of a sudden there was a whole swarm(what do you call a group) of dragonflies. About 50 of them. So she stayed to watch for a while but then too many of them started to bother her so she went home.

(At this point I said "Wow! That must have been Amanda." Jen just said to wait there was more.)

When Carla got to her home her 2 sisters were waiting for her and asked where she was. She started to tell them what happened at the cemetary but they cut her off telling her about the swarm of dragonflies flitting around the back deck. So there were dragonflies at both places at the same time.

Now when ever anybody goes to the cemetary there are usually 4-6 dragonflies flying around.

Jen says she's heard Native american stories about dragonfly spirits and when she forwards me info I will share here.
