Subject: A Plea for Prayer

I have a favor to ask, I hope you don't mind. I would like to ask that anyone that reads this message take a few moments and pray for peace and light in Iraq, for the troops that are stationed there and the people that live there as well. If you could also take a few seconds and imagine my husband Doug surrounded by Guardian Angels and the White Light of Love and Protection that will return him safely home (and soon!), that would be wonderful.

Thank you,

Linda

[> Hi Linda, of course I'll be praying for your husband, You can ask the ladies here, not long ago it was me asking for the very same prayers while DH was deployed over there... So yes he is in my mind with all our big military family.... -- IsabelleKiltup, 19:17:49 10/24/03 Fri

[> [> Thanks again! The day I posted this my hubby had told me they spent the night being mortared and that several soldiers were injured. Luckily it was on the other side of base so he was not hurt. But these kinds of things happen all the time and sometimes my worry gets the better of me and I feel like I need some extra help. Prayer is the most powerful I believe! Isabelle, I must not have been on this board when you talked about your hubby but I'm sure you understand. Sometimes the burden feels so heavy I ask help from friends. I am learning not to see that as a weakness but sometimes it's hard. Hugs to you all!! -- Linda, 09:18:20 10/25/03 Sat

[> [> [> Asking for help is not a sigh not weakness, but an opportunity given to others to contribute their energy for something good. It takes real maturity to know that asking for help is a show of strength, because by doing so, we affirm that we are not entities with all the answers. By giving others a prayer opportunity, we add to the power of the prayer. Whether it s a Christian vantage point (Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them) or an Earth-based spirituality (the power of three and the power of the joined circle), it is always better if there are more than one praying!!!! -- Betsy, 09:50:39 10/25/03 Sat
