Subject: Isn't Severus a little old to be getting pregnant?
In reply to: AC 's message, "Severus, Son of Aragorn" on Tue, Apr 20 2004, 14:02:22

And shouldn't they, you know, finish off Voldemort before traipsing off to Middle-Earth? And shouldn't they clue in that Gondor is most definitely NOT part of Valinor, and that mortals aren't welcome in Valinor? It's gonna be a short, pointless trip.

And I *hate* taking this seriously but...

It takes a lot more than genes to become King of Gondor. All Aragorn's ancestors had the same legal claim as he did, but time and again their applications to fill a vacant throne were turned down. The Stewards weren't going to give up power just on the grounds of ancestry and legality! No, the only way to claim THAT throne is to save the city from destruction, AND save the life of the ruling Steward - as long as the Steward in question isn't at all power-hungry.

So, imagine what would happen if Severus showed up, snide, pregnant and greasy, and tried to claim the throne. Think he'd be welcomed with open arms, rose-petal parades, and a key to the treasury?

Egads, this is one stupid-ass story.
