Wait a minute - using Kinnison as an example of a non-Stu? But Kinnison IS a huge Marty-Stu! He is the mutha of all Stus!

I mean, look at his qualifications. Master pilot, master of disguise, master Lensman, master of everything. Always smarter, handsomer, and more super-powered than anyone else. Unlimited budget, too, and adoring superiors who don't mind if he lavishes untol taxpayer dollars on his girlfriend. Father of a new super-species, darling of the Gods (or super-powerful aliens), and his existence is the whole point of human existence (no kidding).

So IMHO he's a Stu, but the fact that both you and I know this much about him sixty years after his creation just proves that when done right, Sues and Stus can be entertaining.
