Oh well, I stand corrected.

In my defense, I must say that I've seen more than one group of bona-fide Figwit Fangirls arguing about which extra was their idol - this after they'd gone and written stories about him. It stuck in my mind as being, quite possibly, the silliest thing in the entire Tolkien fandom, or at least the most absurd.
