From the FAQ on Vanessa's site:

"Q: WTF, is this the new GAFF?

A: No. Allow me to repeat this: No. I made this board months ago to prevent a roleplaying group from registering the name. I am simply allowing this to be used until GAFF is resurrected from the ashes."

Since Vanessa has said this in a very up-front manner, I hardly feel she is, "trying to pass her board off as the new GAFF".
