Mmm... remember where you're dealing with, though. Canadian contract law is a bit different from the States. As far as I understand it, verbal clarifications qualify as well as long as they're witnessed and communicated to enough people to verify that they were made. Same premise as a witnessed handshake deal, which is given contract status here. Although since I am decidedly not a lawyer, I will have to check up on that. But after exams.
