I am not of that age, but even at that age I did not see all younger people as annoying little kids. I still see older people as annoying little kids. The point that I make here, and that I have tried to express in the past, is that age does not necessarily reflect wisdom nor maturity. Wisdom comes from maturity, and maturity comes from experience (i.e., combination of firsthand experience and the experience of others). Because experience derives mostly from time, we can see how age might relate to wisdom and maturity.

I was in exactly your position at that age. Sometimes I wondered if ignorance is bliss. Then I realized the arrogance behind such thoughts. Whenever I feel that I am superior to those around me, I just remember that arrogance is the hubris of evolution. That, and arrogance kills.

I agree. I have seen this on the old board. I noted the distinct change in direction of GAFF from what it once was to what it is now, and I was shocked by it. That's why I'm not admiring from afar like I used to do. But I probably will do that again, since it's clear that the fanbase/membership of GAFF has changed quite distinctly.
