I've had kids say in response to my con-crit: "Wow! My English teacher never told me ANY of that stuff!"! And there have been a good many young authors who've taken my helpful advice to heart, even if they referred to it as "flames" as in "wow, u cuold flame 4 a living but thx".

They need us.
