Okay, enough! The front page is clogged with squabbling and personal attacks and I’m sick of it! I know we’re all stressed and dealing with varied hard feelings such as loss, bitterness, embarrassment, paranoia, blame, and grief. It’s hard to deal with, I know.

But I have to say something and the something is this: SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!

I hate to say that because doing so goes against my personal philosophy (and my idea of conducting oneself like an adult), but really, ENOUGH with the personal attacks and the attempts to control the future of the board! Have you forgotten whose board this is? The Site Guru’s, remember?

IMHO the one thing that’s made GAFF the wonderful thing it is isn’t just the badfics, snark, humor, intelligence and wit - but way the Site Guru’s “Freedom of Speech Above All” philosophy fostered individuality. At its best this board was a collection of individuals, not a cohesive group; GAFF needed no leaders, no rules, no Official Protocols For Reporting Badfics, no bloody Mission Statement. Members refrained from telling each other what to do or wasting bandwidth with personal attacks – even if we didn’t like everything about everyone else. Who does?

So let’s remember what we did right in the past, and let’s carry the best of us with us – starting NOW. Mm-kay?

So, before anyone posts any more attacks, counter-attacks, abetting, defenses, or attempts to control others – take a deep breath and think about how your post will help the Site Guru establish a new and better board. And then, if you still want to argue – ask yourself whether the Site Guru is going to want to put his time into hosting an endless petty argument, and whether anyone but the Fandom Wank-ers are going to want to visit.

PS: Site Guru, if you’re reading this – please listen to my plea for a new site designed like the Invisionfree one, with multiple categories and linear posts. With one-page formats such as the current one, all you need is one damn troll or disagreement and all the fun stuff is shoved off the front page.
