Aside from The Site Guru and me, does anyone else here remember the original GAFF (or GATF, really) web site? I don't mean archived versions, but the actual site (i.e., a visitor or contributor during its lifetime, circa 1998)?

I mention it because I miss those days, I miss the site. More organized, less clutter. Why not a return to those days?

Now that GAFF has already suffered vagrancy through several web boards, why not a return to web site format? Clearly, the huge membership within the past few months is an indication of fervent interest and support of GAFF, so I don't think there would be any problem in the justification for a web site.

I'm not suggesting we eliminate web boards altogether, for they have become the leading means of free-speech (i.e., with less strict TOS/Agreement contracts and enforcement than web space providers) as well as the fundamental for a true community of GAFFers. But I am suggesting that we invest time and, if necessary, money into a permanent home, or a home more permanent than web boards.
