Subject: Football Hooligans!

Watched the show on BBC2 last night, coppers moaning about the cost and hassle of policing matches, hooligans moaning that they can't have a bit of a scuffle with other hooligans, apparently they don't start on innocent by standers, tell that to the one Pompey fan kicked to the floor by big brave Millwall fans.

Anyway simple solution, the busy's know who they are so just round them up before the match and take them down to a wharehouse or somewhere suitable and let them have the fight they supposedly want!! Cue football hooligans not being quite so brave if there's nowhere to leg it when things gets a bit hairy!!

[> Agreed, I let my boy watch it as he likes the tribalism etc and thinks that its all just a shouting match. When he saw the Pompey fan get beaten, he just closed his eyes in fear. For the grace of summat that could have been me at Hull , Burnley, Stoke etc. I think the main thing that comes out of it is just how ridiculous they look. Take that 'Lenny bloke, please, if he came in our club on any night and opened his gob, I could think of a dozen blokes who'd beat the shit out of him, and they don't go to footie charging around with the idea of kicking someones head in. -- Luddite, 08:10:38 05/13/02 Mon (194.152.74.81)

[> ........but of course he would'nt , and as for the Burberry clothing well in 10 years time people will laugh at how daft they look, a bit like the flared jeans with Tartan stripes, in the 70's. -- Luddite, 08:13:15 05/13/02 Mon (194.152.74.81)

[> That's how it works in Hollans. Feyenoord & Ajax don't even arrange fights on the same daya as the matches, so if you want to watch football you can, if you want to have a fight you can. Everyone's happy. -- OD, 08:37:19 05/13/02 Mon (193.214.111.226)

[> That Pompey fan was fair game. He went through the police lines and took liberties on Millwalls manor. It was his own fault. Did anyone spot the Cheltenham Nutters in the back of the pub before the England game. We never got a mention which was surprising as we were at least 40 handed. I don't condone our lads though as they sometimes go too far. -- Borlingham Robin, 09:32:38 05/13/02 Mon (195.53.49.197)

[> "our top boys only like to fight uvver top boys" - yeah, and kick the crap out of anyone they don't like the look of. Top marks to the cameramen, they must have shit themselves on a regular basis. -- orfc, 09:44:08 05/13/02 Mon (146.176.162.14)

[> A lot of them are pathetic, that Geordie lad threw about 2 punches and was the size of a 10 year old, they made out as if he was Hitler but he was absolutely wrecked and probably doesn't remember doing it. I did have to laugh when tough man Lenny layed the bloke out when he said to him 'you West Brom', and 5 seconds later he was on the floor.
