Right! I don't often feel the need to "vent"....but I'm going to now....hang on!
There is only one reason to get involved in any sport.......TO WIN. WE ARE GOING TO WIN! WE ARE GOING TO GET PROMOTED! FULL STOP! AND WE ARE GOING TO DO IT IN FRONT OF A FULL STADIUM!
This club is not some ego trip for me, it isn't a plaything, I will make it work. I have spent the last two months on raising the profile of the club and sorting out some of the commercial side. The next part is already partly in place with the addition of Luther to the staff and the rest of it will happen before the start of the season, I have taken a big risk to get involved here, I have never failed to date, and I'm not going to start failing now! I am going to create a club, a team, that wins. However we do it we WILL fill the ground, we will create a great atmosphere, we will make it fun. Please get behind what we are doing here and forget the past. I understand that you may have had false dawns before...but you've never done it with John before! We had a nothing race team 4 years ago, now we are in third place in the championship AND we have fun, so lets all do the same with the football team, if you guys get behind the club, come to the games, make noise, have fun you are worth a goal a game! We can and will make BC the noisiest venue in the division and the one with the best team. If I can ask just one thing from all of you, forget anything that you have ever seen in football, relax, enjoy and have fun.
