Subject: It's a great weekend for a stag do. Loads of pubs to go to, with Micklegate 'run' being the top stag-do place, but it's always packed and there's usually loads of scrapping. On Micklegate there are 2 or 3 clubs close to hand mind. The other 'cool' place to go is off Stonegate where there are lots of smaller bars. The England game will bo on all over the place as York will be in the tourist season, so take your pick.Best place for cheap B&B's is probably South Bank, which is near the Terrys' chocolate factory, there's loads of terraced streets with plenty of B&B's around.

[> [> No worries. Ask anyone to direct you to South Bank/Bishopthorpe Road area for B+Bs as it's awkward to find if you're not from the city, but it's really close to the city centre. There's also BishopHill which is on the way to South Bank, but closer to the centre. -- tUS, 11:01:14 05/27/02 Mon (195.38.93.131)
