Subject: New Sponsors

Division III Champions, Plymouth Argyle has signed up Ginsters as its new shirt sponsor. The three-year sponsorship deal seals Ginsters’ commitment to supporting the South West’s leading football club as it steps up to Division II.

Working in tandem with local organisations is a key part of the five-year strategy that the PAFC board is working to. This partnership with one of the region’s leading companies provides further evidence of the plan beginning to bear fruit.

“We are delighted to welcome Ginsters on board” said Plymouth Argyle Vice-Chairman Peter Jones, “Ginsters is a massively successful, growing brand with national reach. It’s a highly dynamic and creative company that is as proud of and committed to its roots as we are.”

The club’s traditional green strip, together with the new ‘tangergreen’ away kit will be complemented by the addition of a redesigned Ginsters logo prominently displayed on the centre of the shirt. It will also feature the flag of St Piran, representing Cornwall, a key source of support for Plymouth Argyle.

“Ginsters is a brand with strong local roots but with a national identity, so linking with a local club with a growing national reputation is a natural fit for us.” said Larry File, marketing controller at Ginsters “We know that many of our consumers are football supporters not least there is a very strong Pilgrims following amongst the staff at our Callington headquarters.”

This is the latest initiative in an exciting period for the club. Last year saw the completion of Phase one of the redevelopment of the stadium. At the same time, the team, under the guidance of Manager Paul Sturrock, lifted the Third Division title with a record 102 points.

The new replica shirts will be on sale from the shop at Home Park before the season starts. Ginsters’ pasties and savouries will be available at Home Park.
