Subject: An apology to Roy Keane

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/hi/team_pages/rep_of_ireland/newsid_2004000/2004160.stm">http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/hi/team_pages/rep_of_ireland/newsid_2004000/2004160.stm</a>

Despite the dummy-spitting tantrum in the above report, I am would like to retract my cynicism of Roy Keane's decision, as I now know that he was not, in fact, being a primadonna. Because he says so.

I apologise for any distress caused to Mr. Keane.

[> Fair enough OMP. I'm glad you're big enough to change your mind once you've heard the other side of the story. No hard feelings here. Keano is right and McCarthy and the Irish FA will regret not listening to him. -- WEB, 14:23:54 05/23/02 Thu (62.6.91.90)

[> [> Come on, Keane is no team player. He is Mr "some people in this team haven't pulled their weight". Tsk. And there was me thinking that football was a team game, requiring team spirit and that - like him - the rest of the Man U team just played their natural game but in the end weren't good enough. -- Simster, 15:04:17 05/23/02 Thu (212.124.229.1)

[> To be fair to Roy Keane it must be pointed out that he was born a cunt with limited intellectual faculties and his ego took up the spare room. Fed by glowing reports for the only thing the lurching half-man half-external female genatalia could do, i.e. kick opponents (did you think I was going to say 'ball'?) it grew to a massive siz, disabling and mentally disfiguring the person that Roy Keane could have been - a bad-tempered Cork roadsweep. -- orfc, 14:56:55 05/23/02 Thu (146.176.2.17)
