If you think I am the cause of the crash that cost the black 29 the open win I apologize to the Black 29.

I not making excuses. But,here is my two cents. I have only been racing since July 04. To my knowledge I have never been the cause of a crash other than my own. I make a point of watching for the leaders and letting them by. I did let them by on about lap 15 coming out of four I saw a wheel and held a steady line while moving up out of the way. The next time they came around me was going down the front straight (right in front of the flagman who may have been flagging me) two went under me clean and at least one went high. So when I could not move up or down I held my line going into one. Thats when someone (you know who )tried to use me as a pick and hit me hard enough to smash my silencer, nerf, chain gaurd and damage my throttle body. Not only costing ME the win (haha) but about $400 in damage and himself a third place finish. If I felt I was the cause I would have walked over to black 29's trailer and apologized he was parked right across from me.

Its easy to blame it on the slower guy or the flagman especially when sitting behind the fence. The open class has a handful of drivers that are in a league of their own. But if you are that fast you already know how to drive your car well and make smart passes. I was once told by someone involved on Sunday "I may not be the fastest guy on the track but I am the smartest when it comes to making a pass". Well, I haven't passed many cars but I am smart. Let me give you a tip: a smart pass does not include driving over infield tires or my left rear (I guess you figured I wasn't using the top of my tire you may as well use it as part of the track). It was a one line track on Sunday and I was using it too. I held my line the best I could in the .2 seconds it took to crash my car. From my point of view this was clearly caused by the impatience of the FASTER GUY. Or should I say the third fastest guy.

I hope there is no hard feelings, see you next Saturday.
