Isobel returned Ravin's kiss, letting her fingers drift through his hair and tickle the back of his neck. When the kiss was broken, she looked into his eyes. "It is not your fault, Ravin. Always remember, the evil Denair is responsible for his own actions." She rested a hand lightly on his knee, giving it a squeeze.

When Ardesmar and the Jann stuffed themselves into the kitchen and announced that soon they would begin searching for the Peacock Throne in a building they thought was a temple, she rummaged in her pack and pulled out the map she had drawn of the ruins. She spread it out on the table. "Perhaps we should plan our approach?"

Marz and many of the others began to file out, suggesting that those who hadn't eaten stay and eat. For some reason she had failed to register the presence of the food and suddenly she was quite famished.

She got up and grabbed some meat and potatoes, getting an extra helping in case Ravin had not yet eaten, and brought it back to the table. "You should eat, if you have not done so already. You will need your strength when we go exploring for the Sheik's throne."

She stuffed a piece of meat in her mouth and chewed thoughtfully as she looked down at the map.
