In reply to: Tristan 's message, "Words of advice" on 13:25:14 01/18/02 Fri

Sarosh watched, sitting beside Jeremy and picking at the heap of food he’d brought, never really stopping from the casual munching. He watched the group and their interactions and was quite lost about the dynamics of things. It didn’t help that he didn’t fully understand the dynamics in theory, or how they applied to each of the individuals around the fire. He was quiet, wide-eyed and still somehow partially oblivious. He was especially confused about the Marz-Jeremy-Tristan triangle that was being played with the new addition of Tia, and unknowns to himself, himself to a mall degree.

Check this out, Marz," the youth said, holding up a thin strip of black leather. "It's a thong! All of the hunky guys on my world wear them." Jeremy said, holding finally displaying the mysterious thong. Sarosh looked at it, somewhat confused and slightly disappointed. Thong was a good word for it. It was simple and black. The only thing it had going was that it was of leather quality Saras had never seen before. At least, not so smooth and soft. He understood it to be a sort of loin-cloth but that was far as his understandings went.

"Then what are YOU doing with one?" Marz asked laughing at the youth and the little black thing. Saras watched the interaction still a little confused and more worried about how one would wear it, instead of sorting out Jeremy’s huge and rather obvious crush on Marz.

As if to explain it, Jeremy handed it to him, which he took. He looked at it, turning it over in his hands and smoothing a finger of the soft black leather.

"Boo!"

“OH! Little bone demon!” he said, recognizing the floating skull instantly, since there was only one in group. “have you seen this?! It’s a Thong. Jeremy wears it, but I confess, I’m a little bit Confused as to where and how he wears it…” he said, glancing over at the floating skull and speaking lowly so not to appear foolish or ignorant in front of Marz or Jeremy. “Although the leather is beautiful, I think it would look munch nicer if it had been tooled or there were beads along the straps here, or some sequins like the ones on the blouses of the Jann women…” he said, finally deciding what it was that the ‘Thong’ needed.

Sarosh turned from the floating skull, surprised by marz’s sudden movement and the sound of the plate hitting the ground, the food that remained rolling into the dirt. Mournfully Saras looked at it before frowning and watching as Marz ran off. Slowly he noticed that the group was beginning to assemble, looking as if they would be leaving soon.
