Tia enjoyed sharing the camel ride with Corum. Somehow he always managed to make her laugh, and so did Barry now that she thought about it. The skull never ceased to amaze her with his flirtatious ways. It was really a shame that Barry wasn't a real person because she had the feeling they'd become very good friends if he were. Not that she couldn't become close friends with a skull; it just wasn't the same somehow.

Because Tia was so busy listening to the banter between Corum and Barry while keeping a wary eye on the road ahead, she didn't have a chance to think about Tristan's advice until they reached the centaur camp. She remembered dozens of her mother's centaur friends roaming around the forest they lived in when she was a child. Tia absolutely loved the noble creatures, and felt totally as ease with the Awati clan, although she wasn't too thrilled about the food they served. Because she didn't want to offend them, she picked up one of the fried snakes and tasted a small bite. Surprisingly, it was very good!

While eating the food with much more enthusiasm now, she thought back to what Tristan said to her earlier. A part of her wanted to say to hell with Rowan, and eliminate him from her mind completely, but that was rather hard to do since they traveled together. After awhile, she decided she liked Tristan's second option the best of all. It would be a lot easier to simply keep things the way they were and remain friends with Rowan rather than force herself upon him. The only time she forced herself on any man was when she was attempting to lift his big, fat coin purse!

Anyway, Rowan really didn't seem to be ready to settle down with any one person just yet. If they stayed away from a deeper relationship, he wouldn't have to curb his tendency to jump from one fling to another. Far be it from her to be the one to tie him down when he wasn't ready to be tied down!

She was drawn from her thoughts by Narur who arrived to pass around a bowl of water for everyone to drink from. Once that was finished, Tia listened to Ebessa's speech, instantly deciding that she didn't like this Sharm group. Maybe while they were searching for the branches and the throne they could put an end to their hairless religious organization!

When the centaurs retired to their tents, Tia caught Tristan's eye and held up two fingers, hoping he would understand that she had decided to go with the second piece of advice he had given her. Smiling, she turned to Corum when he asked her if she was okay, and nodded her head. "Well, I had some things on my mind before, but I'm fine now." She was about to ask Corum if he wanted to talk a walk around the large pond with her but clamped her mouth shut when Rowan suddenly showed up.

"What have you kids got planned for the day so far?" the elf asked.

With a smug look on her face, Tia slipped her arm around Corum's waist, and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "We were just about to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful sunrise together, weren't we Corum?"
