All righty then. Corum got a mouth full both ways from Tia. At least she had explained that Rowan and her where simply friends, but he didn’t buy that for a minute. But if she insisted on playing the game, he would allow her to, especially considering he wanted her to be his friend.

Sowing his wild oats. All right, he wanted to ask her what that meant, but then he might prove to Tia just how stupid he really was. No sense in going there, at least not for the moment. That’s when Marz came rushing toward the lake followed by one angry, not to mention quite smelly merc, Justin. Just when it looked like the big guy was going to put the kibosh on Marz, the youth ducked, and managed to flip the smelly old merc into the water. “Way to go Marz!” he yelled at his friend, as Marz returned to the camp, leaving a wet, and still quite angry Justin, scratching away in the water for some reason. Maybe there was something in the water that made the merc itch. Probably the lack of water touching his body made him break out in a rash. Served him right.

Anyway, Tia showed him a turtle that had crawled into the water, stating that the turtle had the right idea. What idea? He thought to himself. Suddenly Tia stripped to her undergarments, and jumped into the water. Corum was shocked beyond shock as he saw the scantily clad girl rush into the water telling him to join her. Whoa, what a concept!

That’s when Tristan entered the picture, and turned a couple different shades of color before leaving the group. So where was Marz, he had to wonder? Didn’t Tristan usually follow Marz, and didn’t Marz usually follow Tristan? So what was up? He shook his head, and was about to enjoy himself by joining Tia. He couldn’t believe his luck. That’s when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Tristan again, this time heading in the opposite direction of the camp. OK, something was definitely wrong, and it was up to Corum to get to the bottom of things.

“I think someone needs my help,” Corum stated to Tia as he pointed in Tristan’s direction, and started heading towards the dragon. He spotted Tristan sitting on the ground with his knees to his chest, puffing away. From Corum’s vantage point, he was surprised that anyone could actually see the dragon with all that smoke surrounding him.

I throw myself into the sea. Release the wave, let it wash over me. To fact the fear I once believed, the tears of the dragon, for you, and for me.

“Hey dude!” Corum shouted to Tristan. That obviously got the dragon’s attention as Tristan suddenly looked up to see a smiling Corum looking down at him. Corum could tell that Tristan wasn’t pleased to see him, but that was too bad. Tristan was Marz’s friend, and since Marz liked Tristan, he would try to help the dragon.

Suddenly a voice was heard. In a flash the brave young man appeared. The Dragon Lord will cut him with his tail. Chased him to the stairway, caught him halfway to the top. Sent him whirling down fireballs, summer solstice. The Dragon Lord descended down on him. He turned to look but saw only darkness silence.

“OK dude,” Corum stated to Tristan. “You had another fight with Marz right?” Why else would the dragon be by himself. That had to be the answer. Although a lot of people thought Corum a little, no, make that a lot denser, the youth still had the ability, rare but he did have that ability, to actually see into people’s frustrations. Unfortunately for Tristan, now happened to be one of those times.

“So, what did you, and Marz fight about this time?” Corum asked realizing that it hadn’t been the first time the two had gotten into arguments.

Can you tell me where I might find the Hydra? Is he wearing a familiar face? Does he still live below Seventh Avenue in the slums of Satan’s grace?
