Barry was flying away from the cave as fast as he could... all those naked women in there. Who knew what they were up to! He stopped cold when he heard the screaming and yelling.

"Damn them all to the mazes..." he muttered as he turned around and flew back toward the cave. He just knew it would be ten times worse than naked women in a bathing pool....

Yep. Sure enough, there was a big ugly black squiggly monster sticking up out of the middle of that pool and it looked intent on killing a few people. Barry yelped as he saw the addle-cove naked in the water with the thing... and without Yorik! Fortunately someone threw Yorik to him and he had the wits to catch it.

A huge black tentacle sliced through the air at Corum's head. "Look out, Chief!" Barry yelled and hurled himself at it, ramming into the flailing limb and knocking it off course. The thing wasn't hurt, but at least it had missed the addle-cove. He flew at the tentacle again, razor-sharp teeth biting into the slimy appendage. He took a large chunk out, causing the thing to howl in pain, the noise deafening in the cavern. "Bleah oh you taste so bad!" he complained around a mouthful of flesh. Fortunately it just dropped right out his lower jaw once he shut up for a minute.

He flew up near the thing's big ol' red eye and spewed a swarm of wasps at it. The wasps angrily attacked the eye stinging it. The creature flailed and a tentacle slammed hard into Barry, who went flying into the water and sunk.

Once under the water - hey, he didn't have to breathe - Barry began biting at the thing's lower half, attacking it where it rose up out of some sort of burrow-like passage under the water. He wasn't doing much damage to the gigantic thing, but he was hurting it - he could tell by all the blood in the water around the bites.

Finally he flew back up out of the water an hurled himself at the creature's eye, sinking in completely and disappearing inside the awful thing's eyeball.

"What a way to go," he thought as he found himself trapped in the sticky goo inside the monster's eye. "Well... here's looking at you..." he blurbled from inside the goo, and disgorged all the snakes, spiders, scorpions, cockroaches, and rats he could manage before he lost consciousness.
