Tia nodded to herself when she overheard Isobel's suggestion to use the floating skull for spying purposes. The idea made a lot of sense. Didn't the Necromancer King have gross eyeballs flying the around the palace watching their every move? I'm glad we killed that fat pig!

Of course, now that the tyrant was gone, the queen had set her sights on Rowan. Well, who could blame the old crone for wanting a handsome, young man to give her a little pleasure? At least she still had her hourglass figure so it was probably easy for Rowan to get turned on by her. As long as he kept his eyes closed to avoid looking at her wrinkled face, he'd be able to bed her with ease.

Tia began to laugh but stopped when Rowan asked her what she found so funny. Her violet eyes came up to meet his, and she had to bite her lip so she wouldn't start laughing all over again. The thought of Rowan in bed with that haggard, old witch was hysterical. Maybe he was one of those crazies that preferred women three times his own age! She'd heard of some young men who made a hobby out of making ancient, old ladies fall in love with them simply to rob them blind later. She stared at Rowan then shook her head. He didn't seem like the type to go after someone only for their money.

"I was laughing at Barry," she told him, hoping he bought the lie. "He's really funny. Too bad he's not a real, live person cause I think I could go for him. I always did like a man with a good sense of humor!"

Tia swallowed down the last of her bacon then got to her feet. "Guess I'll go check out the Rocs. I want to find one that still has a good amount of flesh on it. My cute, little butt wouldn't appreciate sitting on a bony back for thirty miles!"

She turned to ask Corum if he was ready to leave but shrugged when he seemed to be too engrossed with Barry to pay any attention to her. Once again she faced Rowan then held out her hand to him. "Want to come help me find the perfect Roc for me and Corum to ride on?"
