To be honest, Iggy didn't know who they were, but hoped that he would never have to find out. Of course, if I must see them for myself, he thought, I could always summon him. In the meantime...

"I see you got out of my Gorgon spell. That's okay. I have others. COSMIC GLAIVE!!" The orb of Serpentinus began to glow and swirl. From the crystal ball, a blade of swirling blue and indigo energy burst forth. His stff was now, efectively a magic naginata spear. He descended from his place above Tay and shifted into a fighting stance. "ASTROPHEL." A star-shaped barrier faded infront of him, then promtly disappeared.

The fight began in earnest. Tay and Iggy charged at each other, their spears pointed at the opponent like two knights jousting. Their weapons connected. Iggy's energy-naginata brushing past Tay's ear, while the preistess's javelin scraped the black mage's left arm. The Astrophel shield wasn't enough!? That shield can withstand even Vegita's attacks to a point, but her spear passed right through! He pushed back from her. Of course it did. It's a faerie weapon. But even that can be countered.

He raised his right hand yet again and held it in mid air. In fron tof the hand, a large magic circle appeared. Circumscribed within the circle were glowing words written in Latin. Around that circle, smaller magic circles flashed into existance. They began to pulse with light simultaniously, then strobe. "FULMENUS BENITAE!" The circles began to spin, as they spewed forth orbs of ball lightning from within themselves. It looked like a machine gun shooting small Kamehameha blasts was attached to his hand. Tay swatted away several of the bolts that flew to her, then jumped to avoid the rest. She ran behind Iggy, in the hopes to make one clean swipe at him, but found that the bolts followed her wherever she went.

"This is bad." Tay then got an idea. She ran right next to the black mage. "You know those blots are coming at you too, now. You either have to protect me, or get hit yourself."

He was silent right until the moment the bolts were about to hit them. "So I get hit." And they did.
