DOC Binge ETOH and antidepressants after the inability to cope with the crappy year life had sent me. Fired after a downward spiral, two DUI's in one year, one a Felony due to the closeness of my convictions.

Based on dual-licensure I was forced to work with 2 nursing BON's and TWO diversion programs that wouldn't play nice together. Completely finished my sentence in my home state, now maintaining in my current state, while seeking gainful employment as an RN as a felon with license restrictions. My time and money spent on drug screens, counseling, etc, to this point doesn't count til I am working.

Patiently awaiting the time frame to pass to 8 years after the completion of my felony sentence, to be able to request that it be "removed" legally and then finally be able to work.

No one wants a nurse with a felony, and I have been offered a job (even with my restrictions) from a great company that knows my story and will work with the diversion program--- except they can't employ a felon. Another 2 years, after over 7 now, seem like I'm in the home stretch!!!!

Good luck to all-

"everything will be okay in the end, if it's not okay, it's not the end!"
