IV opiates for a several month period in 2009-2010. Didn't take me long to be on a very serious downward spiral. Caught at work, resigned from RN position, Felony charge, etc. RN license suspended for two years, July 2012 I will regain my license. Getting ready to take a nursing assistant position in order to be working somewhere when my license is reinstated. DId a little over one year probabtion for the felony charge, and now the felony is expunged (Thank Goodness). I will be in a monitoring program in my state for three years after beginning a nursing position. I have some permanant restrictions- but they can be waived with permission o the board. These just include nursing management positions or "pool" positions. 6 Months narcotic restriction. There were times when I would have to go months without even thinking about being a nurse so the time would pass without going crazy.....but as it gets closer to my suspension being over, now I just obsess about the ability to find a job when it is all over. Don't post a lot, but always lurking :-)
