I am so sorry you are going through this, but don't give up! if the record is sealed, contact the DON and explain that to her. Do you think it's possible that your background check came back and it showed up? If that's the case, then wtf? the courts aren't holding up to what they said.

As far as worrying about your friend, you wouldn't be doing her any harm to push harder for this job. They already like you. That's at least 75% of the battle, probably more!

I know how you feel and it makes my heart sink for all the handwringing, pacing and just plain being a basketcase as we attempt to become employed and then the waiting and curves thrown down the path.

Keep trying, you've come so far. If there's no way to land this job, there will be others that are better for you. Where you'll be happier.

If that record isn't sealed, I'd sure be calling that lawyer.
