Hello Everyone!
I posted on here a few weeks ago about the job interview I had for a nursing assistant position. The interview went great, I liked the director-she liked me and I highly anticiapted hearing from her. Time has passed and no word, not even a letter saying 'thanks, but no thanks'. My friend who got me the interview was in a meeting last week about their desperate need for night shift NA's (the position interviewed for) and her boss stated there was a person they wanted to hire, but HR told her this person had a felony on their record and couldn't be hired per HR. Very disappointed- especially since I got all my paperwork from the court saying my record had been 'sealed' Since I didn't hear this from HR and I don't want to drag my friend through the ringer since she went out on a limb to get me the interview in the first place, I don't know what to do. Part of me wants to contact their HR department and send them all my papers that say my record is sealed, I am not, nor have ever been on the OIG list and BEG them for ths job. I told them upfront about the drug issue and I have never been in trouble for anything else. I hadn't even had a traffic ticket for almost 15 years. I completed my probation and am just 20 weeks away from getting my nursing license reinstated. Is EVERY job interview going to end this way? This nursing director WANTED to hire me! She told me so! She told my friend so! SOOOO frustrating- I just want to go to work!
