Subject: I understand the concept of this, but it really bothers me

We finally made it through the entire Wiggles on Safari with the Crocadile Hunter yesterday, including the credits. After the credits and out-takes were all done, they had a "in memory" for a fire fighter who died on 9-11.

Although I think it is nice to remember those who passed because of that tragedy, I honestly do not think it belongs on a childrens video at all. Granted, most who watch the wiggles cannot read well. However, there are older children who can read that watch it.

I don't totally shelter my dd from the news, she is aware what went on and we had many discussions about it and she is understanding it and not fearing it. But what about those children who are either sheltered totally from it, or became freaked out by everything that went on and their parents are trying to keep it all at an extreme minimum?

What do you think? Should a children's video have something like this on it or not?
