that it was in a fire hall. $50 bucks an hour, we supplied some food, a friend did the bartending (not difficult...whaddya want-wine or Beer--blue cup or red??). I think my biggest expense was hiring someone to put up the decorations because I didn't feel like doing it myself.

If you can't get that place, because it does sound nice...you might be able to find a lounge type place that will supply very limited horsy dorves or whatever for a cheap cost. The smaller restaurant/lounges in our area do it and it costs about $10 bucks a head....bar though is extra and either open by the hour or pay as you go. Most here do 1 hour open and they pay the rest.

Jeepers, planning a wedding is hard...what the heck are you doing? Run away with the kids to Vegas for the wedding too...hire an Elvis Impersonator...say your vows then head off to the nearest manic slide. I am thinking it would be MUCH easier! Plus then Newman can enjoy all the widdle puppies pooping in their owner's purses...oh hey..maybe that is on rodeo drive or something? Nevermind, newman will just have to amuse himself with the really bad twang by the elvis guy.
