Subject: Yep, we've consider the Vegas thing too

We even batted around the Elvis/minister thing. On the plus side, we figured it would be a hoot and a day the kids wouldn't likely forget and two, if Newman and I do crazy madcap stuff, it would probably prevent the kids from doing it themselves someday. I mean, who wants to elope in Vegas with Elvis performing the ceremony if you've got a PARENT that already did it?!?!

On the minus, our girls are looking forward to being flowergirls with people *there* to admire how adorable they look. And I am not sure I want to be in Vegas with my make-up melting off my face and perspiration stains on my dress all in effort to get a 10 minute ceremony at a cheesy ("Next please!") chapel in 115 degree weather. Know what I mean?

Also, Newman is definitely leaning toward a church wedding. There's no way he'll be getting married in his church (Catholic) what with being divorced and marrying a Protestant and everything, but it's still doable at mine (Methodist).
