No one was more surprised than me!

My dream wedding would have been so easy to achieve. Leave work at lunch time, meet at the courthouse and have it done, then go back to work and change our W-4's. Couldn't be better. (Note: if you haven't noticed, I don't have a romantic bone in my body.)

I compromised, and it was going to be just us and the kids at home with a clergyperson from his church. Just as we were about to begin, people started showing up. And flowers. And a cake. I was told by my then-soon-to-be-but now-ex-husband, "You'd regret it later if you didn't have these things, so I made sure you had them."

I had regrets all right. I should have run for the hills when I had the chance. LOL

If there's a next time, it'll be a lunchtime gig. ;-)
