Seriously, I've been married twice and did the big blowout the first time. Afterward, I realized that I had spent thousands on a dress I would wear once, enjoyed a very big expensive party, and basically that was that.

My second marriage, we got married at our house. We had just moved in and had a "Housewarming Party". We had about 50 guests, and about halfway through the party we announced that we would also be having a wedding! My best friend married us, and she is the one who actually got dh and I together, dd (dh's child from a prev relationship whom I later adopted) was the maid of honor. It was SO much fun!!! The best part was the guests being so surprised of course! Now whenever we have a party there are always people saying "Uh, is there going to be another wedding?"

Which is why I am rather sad to be leaving this house. We'll be moving in a couple months and while I am very excited to get a new house, its bittersweet because I truly loved living in this house, being able to say we got married here...:o)
