My ds will be 4 next week and he has been driving all of us nuts. He's gone from this sweet child into a little Mussolini in about a months time it seems. Cries at the drop of a hat, throwing huge fits at bedtime, yelling at me and making demands, UGH. Hes turned into the kind of bratty child I cannot stand! How did this happen??

I do try very hard to be consistent, we have a thing now that if he starts crying or throwing fits he has to go get in his bed until he calms down. It has cut down a lot on the crying. And I am trying to establish more of a bedtime ritual for him, reading a couple books before bed and trying to make it more of a special time (okay well its not helping that much but I am trying, lol). I dont respond to him when he makes demands except to say "how do we ask for things?" and then respond when he rephrases his sentence.

All of us (me, dh, and dd) are ready to ship him off to baby military school I tell ya!! Does it get better? When does this *phase* end????
