I'm not sure what to think in this argument. It seems like there are several possibilities that aren't being touched on. My brain hurts.
Let me just play devil's advocate a little bit. How do you know that Paul was the Kwisatz Haderach? Is it because he said so? Is it because the Bene Gesserit were inclined to think so? His particular mix, being a male line where a female line was planned, may not have been exactly what a Kwisatz Haderach was supposed to be. He was unexpected. Genetics is never an exact science.
Perhaps the place where Reverend Mothers cannot look is more than just masculine memories; maybe it's masculine psychology. So, only one who can think in a feminine psychology is capable of surviving the Spice Agony, but by its very nature can never think in a masculine psychology and so falls short -- hence the Kwisatz Haderach.
The female psychology is the "giver": that which thinks in terms of [care for family/family survival] concerns. The male psychology is the "taker": that which thinks in terms of [self/species] advancement. This might be a little off.
