We went to payless. All summer Nathan has wanted plain slip on tennis shoes like Ryan's. We go in, measure his feet, and find the 12s. Find a very plain pair of slip ons for $11. He's happy as a lark.

Chris was helping Ryan and Hannah found a cute pair of Strawberry Shortcake shoes that were on clearance for $5. We will have to take out a loan for this kids shoes someday -it's truly frightening. We walked in the store and she giggled in delight, jumped up and down and said shhhoooeeesss!!!!!!!!

I went over 2 aisles to see what they had in my size because they had lots of clearance stuff. 5 minutes later Chris comes over and says "Your going to be mad." I asked why, and he responds I talked Nathan into the Spiderman shoes. At first I was thinking no big deal so they are $14,$15 and I don't care as long as he likes them. Nathan comes running to show me etc. Then he takes them off and I see the price. $23.99.

My darling, wonderful husband talked my kid out of the $11 shoes and into the $24 shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!! He didn't look at the price just was thinking Nathan might be disappointed with them later because they were plain. ARRRRGGGHHHHH.

Needless to say I've banned him from shoe shopping LOL>
