近年日本的雜誌愈出愈「專」，已專到一個不能再專的地步。
以往，在中小學生之間流行的動畫漫畫雜誌中，會包含一些「特撮片」的資訊（註：所謂「特撮片」及日文漢字，中文正寫應為「特攝片」，即是真人演出以科幻特技作賣點的片集，例如經典的《鹹蛋超人》系列、《幪面超人》系列等）。近幾年，「特撮片」改以青春偶像、靚仔靚女新面孔作招徠，居然吸引了兒童以外的一班青年甚至 OL Fans，於是「特撮片」的專門雜誌應運而生。
《宇宙船》雙月刊是比較老字號的一本，新生的有《NewType The Live》雙月刊（由動漫畫雜誌《NewType》分拆出來）、《東映 Hero Max》季刊等等。《東映 Hero Max》更「專」，因為它專介紹「東映公司」旗下的片集，可算是官方雜誌。
有沒有更專的？有，例如一本《Ultraman Age》季刊，就是《鹹蛋超人》的專門雜誌。出了十四期後最近宣布停刊，還以為它出不下去了，我可以買少一本；誰知原來是轉一間更有規模的出版社，改版換面加送 DVD，變成《Ultraman DNA》。雜誌「專」得如此，唯日本獨有吧！
