would like to ask for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to pray for a young lady who’s name is Irena (I think that is how her name is spelt) She lives in Zhytomyr City, Ukraine and I had the pleasure of meeting her on a recent visit. She is in her late teens, I understand, and is now in her 3rd year of Bone Cancer. She has a huge tumour on her left thigh that his taking most of the blood to her legs and is giving her constant pain and is killing her. I don’t know were else in her body the cancer has spread but the Doctors gave her 3 years to live and she is now in her 3rd year.
I understand that she tried Chemotherapy in the early stages but found it very tough going so with the family, made a choice to stop it and rely on ‘natural methods’. These methods also include visits from at least 4 healers, two of which I know are practicing White Witchcraft. Being a former Soviet country, the main Christian influence has been Russian Orthodox which is not known for acknowledgment of God’s Healing Power today and these are a very superstitious people!
On the day I was due to visit a few interesting things came to my attention. One of these witches had previously told them that a recent ancestor was a ‘bad person’ and had put a curse on their family. I understand that this family, from her father’s side does have a history of ill health and young deaths. (Not putting too much reliance on what witches say but there is evidence of a generation curse of some kind).
Also, my mother-in-law, who is not orthodox but roman catholic and very superstitious on everything and into astrology etc, said that she had a dream that night that the witches were looking for someone to put this curse of cancer on to and if my wife wanted to be pregnant, we should not go and see this young lady.
Unable to speak Russian, I was not able to tell her that Christ became a curse for us and, even if I could, I would not have been able to politely tell her where to stick her spirit of fear (in Jesus name) But it all went to give me a spiritual sense that there were spiritual forces that did not want me to see this young lady! And I believe that God is going to do something powerful in her life.
She is suffering greatly and is not hopeful, only getting ½ hour sleep a day.. She did not want to have the healing scriptures that my wife told her I would write for her, but I did tell her I was a Christian and I would pray for her and she was happy for me to do that.
God has also given me a gift of faith that even at this late stage, He will heal her in the Name of Jesus and I have been given the Scripture of Ezekiel 37: 1-14 to pray and prophesy over her life.
Please join me in prayer for this beautiful young lady whom God loves very much believing she will be healed and He will get the glory! Please do email me if you will commit to prayer as it will help my faith too!
