Subject: with a possible trip like that
In reply to: LB 's message, "Well" on 14:16:30 07/15/05 Fri

i think i'd like to experience a bit of everything. while i'm typically not historical buff, i do find a certain interest in momentous sites. for example, i found myself bowled over a couple of times during my trip to boston thinking of the historical significance of several stops. i don't consider myself an art lover, but i can appreciate a nice painting. museums can be interesting as well. i find myself enjoying native american artifacts and the like much more than anything else. out of all the things you listed though, i'm a huge fan of scenic places and views. while i tend to favor the country settings, i also appreciate city views as well. one thing that gets me is water. i'm a huge fan of water.

i think ideally a trip would combine many of those elements. as far as a budget, i'm not really sure. i'd like to do it as cheaply as possible, but i haven't put that much thought into it. a stay would probably last anywhere from a month, month and a half, no more than two. i figured hostels would probably be the way to go; however, i have zero experience with them and honestly, i don't even know exactly how they work. that's how little thought i've given this so far. i initially kicked around this idea awhile back after my trip out west. i might even have gotten a few website suggestions, but it stopped there. for whatever reason, i never gave it any more thought, now it's back again, and i thought i'd indulge myself. the idea kind of scares me, which is part of the appeal, but i also know myself well enough to know i'll have to do some coaxing until i'm ready.

i figured i'd see as many places as i could and if britain happened to be one of them, you better believe a visit would be in store. i'll be looking forward to you insight.

take care of yourselves,
