"Pulling out all my old brochures..."

Once upon a time, you could get like $20 for a shrink-wrapped 2001 brochure on eBay. (I helped Nissan put that year's brochure together. They had me get some photos from you-all. Ian has his X pictured in that one for example.)

Looks like "Camouflage" (D12) or maybe "Canteen" (D13) from 2003.

NO. Totally different. It's this bright, yellowy metallic Green. Really flashy.

"As for rare colors, Trophy Bronze (undocumented 2000),"

By far, the rarest. Confession: I invented a pretty good approximation of the number back then, acted like it was an official number, and people quoted the number as fact for years after. Mea culpa. :-)
I do know that the 4x4 SE 5-Speed I sold to a woman down south was one of only three ever made though.

"Khaki (2001),"
Rare indeed. Kinda gross, but I like it for being rare. Saw one at a gas station in NH, asked the woman, "Say, what is that- an 01?" See was amazed that I could tell the year, until I told her that Khaki was only for 2001. "Kucky" is what the dealers used to call it.

"and Mineral Blue (2001)"

Very rare. Nice color.

" Atomic Orange "

Heinus. Belongs in your post above. Just awful.

"for 2004 they had Silver Lightning (K12)"

No no. There is no "g" at the end. It's "Silver Lightnin' ". Yeee-ha.

-------

Thing is, this new color is just plain weird. Strange looking. And I've grown to really like it. I'll find the paint code for those keeping score at home.
