*** 17 business applications approved ***
We got 22 applications from locals who like to run a business, 17 of them were approved, 5 were declined.
The hood council has agreed on accepting only 10 community lot businesses. Additional community lot businesses can be established i.e. downtown. There is no limit to number of home businesses.
Current community lot business owners are given the first option to convert their businesses to the new deal. If they choose to sell the lot, it will first be announced to those who already sent in an application. All current community lot owners must buy their lot, but will of course be given a discount of §10000 which they originally paid for the lot.
Here is a full list of approved businesses in Simmerville:
Community lots, converting existing business:
- Bart Gobelin, "Mervil Market", wants to offer groceries, bakery and a gallery selling pictures by his wife.
- Sophelia Mervil, "Andrew's Stroll", wants to add entrance fee for the park or for specific activities.
- Amandeus Beartop, "Old Hunter's Lodge", wants to open small toy store
- Alovar Mervil, "Youth's Hangout", current offers but wants to replace clothing with games & electronics
- Emilda Glitz, "Lake Ellie's Cultural Retreat", music scene like today with only minor changes
- Mathilda Swims, "Medical Center", like today but wants to upgrade with real beds and adding medical training
- Steven Brybrey, "Mini Shopping", offering clothing and grocery at a very low cost (no changes)
- Samba Luna Hanssen, "Via Victor", bowling and bar, no changes
- Claira O'Brian, "Club Cornell", no changes except a couple more facilities
- Baltus Gobelin, "Gobelin Fashion", wants to run the traditional clothing store founded by his father.
Home based, converting existing businesses:
- Annalica Grumblin, "Johanna's Kitchen, restaurant no changes
Home based, new businesses:
- Cruella Mervil, "Club Society", pool tables, bar, and restricted society (Maple Inn).
- Priestus Moulino (with teen son Rick), "Garden Lab", florist
- Eline Shalloe, wants to offer community speeches on specific subjects *)
- Phillion Montpellier, "Builds & Bills", real estate
- Gullina Montpellier, "Bonnie's Beautyshop", salon
- Germine Briggon, Detective Office, wants to assist Sims who needs to know

*** University ***
Simmerville keeps the deal with Sim State University, and there is a brand new "Simmerville House" where our local students live. The max reward when graduating with top grades is now §12.000. It normally costs only §3.000 to enter. Simmerville House is run by the students alone, but the hood has decided to help them with §20000 to equip the new house. They already got §10.000, and will get more on simday 51.
*** 50 simdays celebration ***
On our 50th simday there will not only be a new business deal. We will also celebrate the hood's first 50 days, and the program will be announced tomorrow. We like to focus on teenagers and health this time, so if you are a teenager you might like to train your activity skills. Contests and fun for all tba!
