Hi all locals! Here's some news!
*** CHANGES TO MERVIL FARM INHERITANCE ***
When Mrs Marta T. Mervil was found dead on local simday 30, it meant that the entire Mervil Farm goods was the inheritance of dead Mr Mervil's oldest son from his first marriage, Egoon Mervil. Simmerville Hood Council has received massive critics from Sim Nation House of Law because who urged us to adjust our Law of Heiritance, and make sure it affects all cases back to simday 30. The new Law of Heritance makes the oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Mervil the legal heir to 75% of the heirloom. Egoon Mervil who already moved in at Mervil Farm will need to move out again, and Sophelia Mervil will move in.
The Sim Nation House of Law also suggested that we keep a communal archive where it can be possible to look up inheritance cases of the past. Our clever Law Community Adviser, Sue Valentino, is on the case. More to be posted as soon as we know. The updates will not affect any other cases because all cases are older than simday 30.
*** NEW BUSINESS RIGHTS ***
The Hood Council like to make sure there are local businesses, and that those local businesses represent a varied offer. Therefore we will use a model where the Sim who want to run a business will need a lot that includes a Business Right. There are Business Rights of Trades (stores/shops), Foods (restaurants/beverage), Pleasure (clubs/entertainment) and Agro (farming). Only one Business Right per lot, and the BR can be bought or inherited.

*** AGE of PLEASURE ***
You all know that we will soon sign the "NightLife Deal", as part of the current Age of Pleasure. Well, I just like to ensure you all that the Hood Council will do our best to provide us all with many splendid ways of seaking pleasure in the near future!
*** MOVING ***
We know that many Simmervillian families are now spread over several households, and instead of forcing through a new Law, we will simply encourage larger families to split, and some to move to other hoods. Search the SUN register to find a hood of your likes. Try the SUN Exchange if you like to switch addresses with some household living elsewhere. Or perhaps it will be permanent?
Simmerville will still welcome a new household every 5th simday. We recently welcomed the Muggey family, and next immigration will be in 2-3 simdays.
