Hi guys,
My name is cherie and i am from Cranbourne south east VIC. I have been talking to carol for a couple of months now via the internet. I am appalled to hear about these ponies, being skinny and wormy and unloved, but being sold off for $400 each- what is this guy thinking? What can be done to remedy this situation? If i was in the position to buy and transport some of these guys i would, but at the moment i just can't do that. What is involved in getting the animals surrendered? If there was a way to have some of them surrendered, i could probably offer some agistment for a couple of the smaller ones for free till we could get them into condition to find them new homes, but that is about it. I wish there was more that i could do. I have leased a pony out before only to find it obesely overweight and so close to founder and with badly long feet it's not funny. I can't imagine why people treat their animals like dirt and give them no respect and then expect them to make them a packet in return. I don't have alot of money myself, but my ponies are fed and have their feet trimmed. I learnt to trim when i was 16 and have never given it up. If there was any way to get them to surrender them ( i am not sure on the laws myself, so i don't really know what is involved in doing so, but would like to know as something neeeds to be done about these poor kids) I would be more than willing to work with some of them till they found new homes. I have emailed Carol last week for a member form- can someone please send me one to dispatch@microway.com.au ? I really want to sign up with you guys and get the ball rolling down my neck of the woods. If these ponies are so skinny and wormy, isn;t there a way that we could do something to have them surrendered?
I*'d really like to hear someone else opinion and view on this one- can you please email me a reply as well as post one for every one else who finds your site to see- this is so sad, it upsets me to hear of horses like this.
