I didn't see the program but it sounds as if it was based largely on the 5 measures of crime,education, environment, lifestyle and employment. On education and employment Aber is obviously going to rate very poorly - no surprise there then. Crime I'm a little surprised at although I understand car crime is very high in south Wales generally so maybe that was a factor?

Environment I think they have wrong. Sunshine and rain...well, der, yeah of course. But access to open space, etc - this is one of the main benefits of living here for me.

Lifestyle I am with them all the way - easily the biggest drawback of living in Aber IMHO. If you don't like spit and sawdust pubs your options are very limited.
