Talking about the council wasting money I have heard a rumour that they are moving their headquarters from Mitre St to the foundry bridge! If this is true, don`t they now own the premises in Mitre St? And won`t they have to pay rental for the new building?
Also what about the plans for the regeneration of the top of town? and the construction work in Arrail St seems to have come to a halt.
One more thing are they deliberately running Tesco`s down? There were about 20 shoppers there yesterday and half the shelves were bare!
