Why is it whenever we talk about bringing competition to Abertillery in the form of new shops and pubs, it`s always frowned upon with people saying "it`ll only lead to the closure of the smaller places" etc but it never seems to worry the people or traders of Ebbw Vale! the selection of shops and stores there is amazing, Morrisons, Tesco`s, Argos, Poundland, Iceland, Focus, Aldis, The Garden Festival, Bwise, 2 Burger places, Wetherspoons, all within a radius of a mile or two! all thriving, Another thing, when people complain about the local stores selling cheap booze, think if a petrol station sold cheap fuel! would you complain then? I understand that the underage find it too accesible but don`t penalize the majority for the minority. Also if the landlords are complaining it`s their own fault for the ever increasing cost of beer, they have priced their selves out. By the way, Abertillery is the most costliest place to drink in the valley`s.
