THE MOUNTAIN IN QUESTION SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE,ENOUGH DAMAGE WAS DONE DURING OPENCASTING IN THE 50'S+60'S. ALTHOUGH I WILL SAY NOT MUCH WILDLIFE LIVES IN THE PINE TREES PLANTED TO COVER THE LEFT BEHIND OVERBURDEN,AND MOST OF THESE TREES ARE AT THE END OF THEIR LIFESPAN. I HAVE WORKED THIS AREA FROM THE FARM ME AND MY WIFE LIVE WHICH JOINS THE TREES AROUND THE (CUT) AND HAVE COVERED MOST OF THE HILL ALMOST WEEKLY. ALTHOUGH I KNOW THE MAN WHO OWNS THE 'CANYONS' VERY WELL AND HAVE WORKED FOR HIM ON NUMERIOUS OCCASIONS, I WOULD LIKE THE CUT TO BE LEFT AS IT IS, ALTHOUGH A LOT OF THE OLDER GENERATION OF HILL FARMERS WHO REMEMBER WHAT THE HILL WAS LIKE BEFORE THE OPENCAST WOULD LIKE IT RETURNED TO ITS NATURAL STATE.
